Cant believe that im leaving for my exchange in 2 weeks time. Somehow, unlike my previous stint in USA 5 years back (eeks! Was it that long ago?) I am feeling extremely homesick even before I leave. Which is totally unlike me. Argh. Does this mean that I’m getting old and that all I really wanna do is to coop myself at home and watch dvds? Oh wells, but im almost certain that that will all change once im over there
Doing the budgeting for the trip the other day got me a little worried. I really wonder how I can keep my expenditure low with all that stuff I wanna do. But somehow that makes me excited too. Coz I see it as a personal challenge to spend no more than S$12k for my entire trip (: I was watching this Taiwan variety show the other day and this actress shared on how she always manages to beg, lie and do all sorts of stuff to get the cheapest deals on her travels. Its really hilarious and I must say I was impressed. Who knows? Desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe the scaredy cat in me may just do that too! Haha
I wanna make sure that I read up all about the place – its history and all, before I go, so that I can fully experience the beauty of it.
In a way I feel kinda under-prepared. I think working during the dec hol is just an excuse to not have time to do stuff.
Things to get:
- jeans x 2 (black and blueeee!)
- rain pants (omg. This is seriously the hardest thing to find in the world. Grrr)
- boots (must rem to ask sis if it’s cheaper to get it over there)
- sneakers (if i get these only in germany, den wat the bloody hell am I supposed to board the plane in?)
- outer shell (the ones I have are all the nice clothy trenchcoat. Hmm..sld I get at least one that’s waterproof?)
Things to settle:
- phone charger
- ext harddisk
- try the fleece
- get euros
- confirm mobile phone plans, money matters
- develop film > master lomo photography skills
- credit transfer
but all that aside, here's some pics to get me excited!
